What is Smartpay?

Smartpay is a buy now, pay later service. You can split your payment into 3 installments without any interest or fees. You can choose between credit card or Smartpay Bank Direct for installment payments. Smartpay is available at over 200 partner stores, supporting the diversification of consumer payment experiences.

How to increase your spending limit on Smartpay

Please confirm that you have completed registration for the Smartpay app.

*If you have not yet registered for the app, please refer to this page and complete the app registration.

First, open the top page of the app.

Tap "¥○○○Available" at the top of the page. Your spending limit will be shown. Tap "Verify" to proceed with identity verification and increase your spending limit.

You can also proceed with identity verification by going to "Account" → "Verify " from the bottom menu instead of the top page.

Select the official ID document you wish to register.

Follow the instructions and take photos.

Once the photo capture is complete, submission completion screen will be displayed. Click "Complete".

A confirmation screen will be displayed. Click "OK".

Your authentication is completed. Please wait until your identity verification is completed.

You will be notified when document review by our staff is complete. The review may take up to 1 hour, but you can close the app during this time without any issues.
