Why do I need to perform eKYC verification?

By completing eKYC verification, your spending limit will be increased, making your shopping experience more comfortable.

If you are using Smartpay Bank Direct, your spending limit per transaction is set to 30,000 yen before eKYC verification, but it will be increased to 60,000 yen upon completion and approval of the verification (*at some financial institutions, it may still be less than 60,000 yen even after eKYC). If you are using a credit card, your spending limit will be increased upon completion and approval of the verification. The spending limit is individually set for each customer. You can check your limit any time on the Smartpay app.

eKYC verification is not mandatory for using Smartpay (except for soma stores).
